Mom, you are my favorite person in the world. You always give me your help when I need it, and comfort me when I’m lonely and also makes me happy.

When I was seven, you told me even if we failed a lot, we should never give up. So I grow up the way that you told me. Sometimes frustrations are really hurt, but your consolation always makes me brave.

When I was in grade four, I joined a Chinese speech contest. I tried to remember the whole speech, but I couldn’t remember it. On the day, I really hoped my mom could come to see you, but she had to work until eight o’clock. When it was almost my turn, my mom still didn’t show up. Just when I was going up to the stage to give my speech, my mom made it! After my speech, she patted me on my shoulder and said, “Good job!” I was so happy.

Then, I won the speech contest. After I got my prize, I got down from the stage and hugged my mom. “Thank you for coming. I love you.” I told my mom. Then she cried. I didn’t know why she cried, but now I know that’s because she loves me. Thank you, Mom, for giving me like. I will do the best as I can to make you happy. Happy Mother’s Day!
