After a day at school, kids this age simply cannot sit still for long periods of time. Our teachers take these youngsters' need to be active and channel it into productive, fun English learning. There are many games, songs and activities in the Kids Club curricula.

Kids Club is a two-year course designed for elementary school children in grades one and two. There are eight levels in Kids Club, each has 24 two-hour lessons. Kids Club is an excellent head start in English learning. Kids Club students will usually begin Step Ahead in higher levels. Native speaking and Chinese teachers each teach one lesson per week. The Chinese teacher is in class to assist when the native English speaker is teaching.

Each lesson includes a review of the previous lesson, a song, conversation practice, writing, phonics and listening exercises, a storybook and a student centered activity or game. All homework is included in the Student Books and CD. Homework is very similar to the class activity in the same books so kids have a good reference to help them complete the exercise at home.

Kids Club classes are divided into three themes per level. This theme-based approach uses interrelated materials to which kids can apply a variety of learning styles. Our cumulative learning goals ensure kids learn by relating new material to things they already know. At the end of each theme, there is a review and written and oral tests to help teachers to monitor individual student's progress.

Kids Club children will learn 1000 words. Initially we emphasize listening and speaking skills and then build up reading and writing skills. We cultivate kids' interest in reading so they become enthusiastic storytellers.
