We have two honors programs for Grade Six elementary and junior high school students. One is for students who have graduated from an elementary cram school such as Step Ahead and the other is for students who have been studying English from Kindergarten and continued in an immersion program such as Tree House and Club House. Club House students may begin the appropriate course in its second year.

The two programs are different in that while one focuses more on public school curricula and tests, the other takes advanced students and hones their English skills to prepare them for study abroad. In this latter course for Club House graduates, a focus on natural conversation and topics relevant to their lives ensure students are equipped to use English for communication. In the cram school program we ensure that students will know at least 5000 words, be able to read books, newspaper and Internet articles independently. They will have the ability to pass the intermediate GEPT.

The once a week classes are two to three hours long and are taught by native speaking English teachers. In this total immersion environment and progressive teaching style, students are encouraged to think freely and express themselves. They will become fully accustomed to a western learning environment.
