Camp confidence provides an amazing and challenging experience that boosts our students' confidence in their English as well as themselves. For six days and five nights students are totally immersed in an English language environment while they stay in Guan Du, at Taipei National University of the Arts. One experienced native speaking English teacher and 2 Chinese teachers educate, guide and bond with group of 15 students.
The greatest benefits are the strong bonds of friendships, wonderful memories and the sense of self-belief students gain.
Four hour cooking, EQ, drama, art, computer and music classes begin with the appropriate English and climax with students producing or accomplishing things they can take pride in. There are many outdoor and team building activities providing constant entertainment and learning.
While the students' English improves in leaps and bounds throughout the week, the greatest benefits of Camp Confidence are the strong bonds of friendship, wonderful memories and the sense of self-belief students gain through meeting this challenge.
Camp Confidence students become more independent. This Camp is an excellent opportunity for students to measure and prepare themselves for HESS Overseas Study Adventures. Immersion in this camp where English is for real communication will enable them to make the most of the overseas learning experiences we offer.
