Have the courage to tell YOUR OWN STORY!
The aim of the 2005 Annual HESS Young Scholar’s Show and Tell Competition is to provide an opportunity for Young Scholar’s students to share their stories by using their English ability in a creative and expressive way.
Our Show and Tell Competition leads students to practice effective and creative communication. Our purpose is not for the students to compete in a speech and writing competition, but rather for them to share a story that is meaningful to them. By doing so, the students will gain confidence in public speaking, oral expression and feel a sense of achievement.
Our Show and Tell Competition has some exciting new features! Each student will have 2 minutes to tell his/her own story using costumes, props and all the creativity they can muster. They will tell the same story throughout the different stages of the competition, so they will really be able to fine tune their skills and get more personal growth out of the competition. Students will draw the order of telling their stories on the competition day.
