HESS Adult French classes are small, giving the teachers and students more flexibility and creating a better environment for learning French. The curriculum is specifically written for non-European students. The same series of books, CDs, VCDs and other supporting materials is used from the basic to the advanced courses, meaning the material naturally builds on what students have already learned and review is abundant. |

| HESS' Adult French courses cater for a range of abilities. There are three courses - Basic, Intermediate and Advanced with three levels in each. |

| Each level contains 8 lessons. Following this there are topic-based courses available. |

| Beginners' Course |
| The Basic Course begins from pronunciation of the alphabet and advances at a comfortable pace. There are only about thirty new words each lesson. After completing the basic course's three levels, students are qualified to attend French DELF test A1 level. (DELF and DALF tests, the standard in international french language proficiency tests are admitted by the French Education Ministry. DELF has A1 to A6 levels. DALF has B1 to B4 levels.) |

| Intermediate Course |
| The Intermediate Course has a greater emphasis on reading and writing while still advancing students listening and speaking skills gradually. After completing the three levels in the inter-mediate course, students are qualified to attend French DELF test A2 level. |

| Advanced Course |
In the Advanced Course, the focus is on culture, grammar and communication ability. After the advanced course Students are qualified to attend French DELF test A3 to A4 level.
Adult French Topic Based Courses don't have fixed curricula but are tailored to the students' proficiency and interests. There are courses specifically to help you pass the DELF and DALF tests. Topics such as Business French, Travel French and Children's French are also available. |
