Leofoo
Village: an amusement park featuring rides,
shows, and food.
Windows
on China: a theme park containing miniature
versions of major Taiwanese and Chinese landmarks,
including Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall and the Great
Wall of China.
Yingge City: a famous pottery center, featuring
a ceramics museum. After the museum, complete your
visit with a stroll down 'Old Street' The street features
pottery shops, food vendors, and coffee houses. Many
of the shops here are owned by craftsman, who design
their own teapots, cups and tea sets.
Sanhsia and Dahsi: traditional towns near Taoyuan,
each is unique in its own way. Along the streets,
houses can be seen that date back over 100 years.
Sanshia features a famous temple. Close to Dahsi
is Chihu, where the late Chiang Kai Shek is buried
along with his son, Chiang Ching Guo
Shihmen
Dam: a large reservoir park, perfect for a
picnic or relaxing walk.
Tiger
Mountain: take a hike in the mountain park
on Sunday afternoon. Pack a picnic lunch and hop on
bus No. 5 to reach the park.
