Welcome to Hsin Chuang and our branches; Hsin Chuang and Fu Da, located just a few blocks away. Hsin Chuang is an ideal place for those people who enjoy the convenience of the big city, while at the same time experiencing Chinese culture. I would like to give you an overview of both the area and our branches themselves.

Let’s start with the city itself. Hsin Chuang is located on the southwest corner of Taipei County. A short commute will get you into the heart of Taipei and all of its benefits. At the same time Hsin Chuang is an

ideal place to experience Taiwan’s unique culture. While everyone speaks Mandarin most people in the area speak Taiwanese as their first language. Hsin Chuang is also ideally located for those who wish to make use of Taiwan’s beautiful north coast beaches. Most are accessible by public transport (1.5 hours) or even better, they are all within a short scooter ride (1 hour).

Hsin Chuang is also a cheaper alternative to Taipei. With a cost of living well below that of Taipei or the other big cities, Hsin Chuang is a perfect place for those who are coming to Taiwan to save money.

But by far and away, Hsin Chuang’s best selling point is its people. With a nice mix of long-term teachers, and a constant flow of new arrivals, the Hsin Chuang area is famous within HESS for its BBQs and community feel amongst its teachers.

Hsin Chuang is also home to Fu Ren University. This school has one of the top language programs in the country. Not only does this make for a convenient option for those who wish to study Chinese, it also attracts many foreign nationals from all over the world who are here to learn Chinese or to study other languages.

Within Hsin Chuang we have all the basic necessities one may need. Restaurants are plentiful. We have a night market, which is centrally located. Coffee shops and bookstores are everywhere. As are Internet cafes.

Located in the heart of town is the Hsin Chuang Park. This enormous park houses the baseball diamond that is home to our local professional baseball team. It also has a stadium that includes a pay as you go gym and an outdoor ¼ mile running track. In between these two buildings is the huge open area where one can escape the busy streets.

We are proud to offer our clients (and our teachers) a vast option of classes. We have the entire HESS set of courses including; Kindergarten, Young Scholars, Language School and Junior High School. Currently we have 5 Native Speaking Teachers from different nationalities such as Canadian, American, South African and the United Kingdom.

Our Fu Da Branch just around the corner is much smaller with only 480 students in 2004. This is a language school only and we offer Kids Club and Step Ahead classes to our students ranging from 8 to 13 years old. We have 2 Native Speaking Teachers who teach language school at Fu Da, and kindergarten at the Hsin Chuang Branch.

Our Hsin Chuang Branch is made up of two buildings located one block apart, with our new building just completed and of which we are very pleased of. It is a beautiful building with ample room to give our students the learning experience they deserve . In 2004 we had a total of 800 students.
