| Te Hwa Kindergarten is one of two HESS Kindergartens in Taichung. Quietly hidden around the corner from the main hustle and bustle of Chung Ming you can find Taichung’s coolest kindergarten. We are also only a short hop, skip and a jump away from the Science Museum and the Botanical Gardens. These two great landmarks have been a popular place for many exciting field trip adventures. |

At first glance you know that this building nurtures the creative side of the children who joyfully join us each morning. With the abundance of space at our kindergarten, you can never feel crowded or closed in. The overhanging trees, gardens, grass, a small pond, lots of running space, and the outdoor hallways that run throughout the school help to create a bridge between classroom education and nature.

Either an NST facilitates an aerobic routine to wake up the sleepy heads, or an NST leads their class in a fun filled game or sport. A huge wooden cabin across the way makes a very cozy home for the children to explore many books in both English and Chinese. We have a massive, colorful outdoor playground that reminds any westerners of the playground where they created many of their own childhood memories. |

On the first floor of this spacious, fully air-conditioned school you will find the office, the computer room, the music room, the home classrooms of the Elephant class (Yo-Yo), the Rabbit class (Little Class), the Hippo class (new Middle Class), the supply room and the kitchen with a delicious smell of the days food tickling your nose. Once you venture upstairs you will find the home of the Bear class (Middle class), the Lion class (Big class) and the Kangaroo class (Big class). | Scholars classes in the afternoon and early evenings! Let’s not forget the exercise room and all its fun! Everywhere you look you can see the creativeness of the children come to life with the many displays of projects and activities the children have completed. The outdoor hallways are full of paintings and out in front of each classroom you can always find a new theme related play area (learning center) that brings to life the imagination of the children before class, after lunch and even at the days end.
