We strive to make our students comfortable with learning English. Above all else, language learning should be fun. All of the classes spend time reviewing material with games or other activities. The lively atmosphere not only helps the students learn the material, but also improves their attitude toward learning in general.
Above all else, language learning should be fun!
The scope of the program is not overly
ambitious. The aim is to give the students a good foundation, which prepares them for a life-long learning process. Perfect fluency for children in a non-immersion environment is an unrealistic goal, and we understand that. Our first priority is to present English in a way that allows the children to enjoy what they are doing and to achieve a sense of accomplishment.
Class structure
Most programs are divided
into levels of 24 classes each. Both the Kids
Club and Step Ahead curriculum are co-taught
by a Native English Speaking Teacher (NST) and
a Chinese Teacher (CT). The NST teaches one class
a week with the CT as the teaching partner to
help with classroom management or explanations
as needed. The CT teaches every other class without
an NST present. Tree House and Club House classes
are only taught by NSTs.
Children enjoy what they are doing and gain a sense of accomplishment.
